Serkan Sarier, another promising newcomer to New York’s bustling young designer scene,County does best to maintain roads during oil activity, waited until after all the buzz of the spring collections had died down to introduce his new collection, called Brood. Mr. Sarier held a small presentation in a West Chelsea art gallery Monday evening, showing about a dozen evening Prom Dresses in silk taffeta trimmed with zippers and drawstrings,Curtain raiser for Wootton Bassett opera set,which gave them the look and feel of athletic sportswear, or collapsed parachutes.
“I tried to see if I could achieve something that has an element of couture,Palfinger hydraulic lifting systems exhibit at thi, but with construction that is more modern,” Mr. Sarier said.
His first job, in 2002, was as an assistant to Emanuel Ungaro for the designer’s couture collections. (He has also worked with Giambattista Valli, Haider Ackermann and Olivier Theyskens.) Mr. Sarier recalled watching Mr. Ungaro quickly dashing pins into a gown to create shape and form, something he tried to replicate in a more casual way by using a drawstring. Almost all his Prom Dresses can be converted into longer shapes, depending on the wearer’s mood.

The film is rated R, 146 minutes, from New Line Home Entertainment. The DVD has two featurettes, and the Blu-ray version adds director commentary and four more featurettes.
On the other hand, in keeping with Prom Dresses the show's shopaholic spirit, devoted fans may prefer to splurge on "Sex and the City: The Complete Collection."
This impressive new 20-disc set contains both films and all six seasons of the gossipy show, which debuted way back in 1998.
It all stems from Candace Bushnell's highly personal observations of the dating scene in a column she penned for the New York Observer, beginning in 1993. The all-encompassing boxed set comes from HBO Home Video.
